An intensive Letterform Design workshop dwelled a conceptual understanding of how and why letterforms work when they are utilised to set words, sentences and paragraphs. An intro on how to prototype letterform drawings, using font editing software to give students, this foundation needed to take up more extensive letter design projects in the future. During this workshop, students have understood the relation between form & space in the letterforms, how to begin creating letters through calligraphy to hand lettering. Students gained an introduction to vector drawing used in professional type design software — Introduction to Robofont Editor. They have created the styles for Devanagari letters using different parameters also, derived Latin letters based on their derived Devanagari Style.
