2012, Gerrit Noordzij exhibition showcased the work of famous Dutch Typographer and Graphic designer Wim Crouwel.
A class of twelwe students were asked to represent their country where they come from. Each student have designed a poster in a grid structure which also speaks the grid typography style of Wim Crouwel’s work.
The idea behind the poster was to represent Indian origin, thus Kolam rangoli grid pattern had chosen to create Numeral 1 (it stands one from t]m 12). Typography for letterforms — ‘Wim Crouwel Gerrit Noordzij Exibition and prize 2012’ are based on Kolam grid system and pattern.
