Erasmus Mediaeval is a revival of the typeface designed by the Dutch type designer Sjored Hendrik DE ROOS created in 1923. The typeface revival project was guided by Paul Van Derland during academic year at t]m 2011‐12. The typeface has a strong humanist serif characteristics, a typeset is suitable for text as well as display text setting. Erasmus Mediaeval has larger x-height, humanist axis in the letters. Capital letters are wider with thiner serifs that interpret the tool influence. The revival is justified by keeping its weight closer to the text specimen which referred during the process.
